it is a disease of food pipe also known as esophagus. The patient of Achalasia Cardia has a difficulty in swallowing of food and drinking of water. Some patients may experience pain in the chest and some may experience fall in weight as well.
Three tests are conducted to diagnose Achalasia Cardia, they are:
1. BM Swallow
2. Endoscopy or
3. Esophageal Manometry
There are three procedures to treatment Achalasia Cardia:
1. Balloon Dilation
2. Laproscopic Surgery
3. POEM – Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy
Most patients can easily be treated using any of the above three procedures.
